Pricing and billing
Launch pricing: 10,000 actions free per organization each month, then $0.25 per 1,000. What counts as an action, how small charges accrue until $5, and how billing works in the dashboard.
The price
10,000 actions free every month, then $0.25 per 1,000 actions ($0.00025 each). No subscription fee, no seats, no feature gates. This is launch pricing: we give 30 days' notice before any change.
- The free 10,000 is per organization and per UTC calendar month, pooled across all of its projects and live environments.
- Test environments never count and are never billed.
- Past the free allowance you need a payment method on file (Settings → Billing). Without one, a
one-time grace keeps work running for 7 days or 10,000 more actions, whichever comes first,
never charged; after it, new billable work answers
402 free_allowance_exhausteduntil a payment method is added. See Environments and limits.
What is an action
An action is one accepted event in a live environment (POST /v1/events and the client event routes)
or one direct business command (a ledger adjustment, a reward issued, redeemed or cancelled,
a program or mechanic command, a challenge enrollment, a purchase, a referral claim, each item of
a bulk operation).
| Counts once | Does not count |
|---|---|
| A purchase event, including every reward and badge it triggers | Reads and lookups, including the widget's reads |
| A direct points award or a reward redemption | An identical retry (same idempotency key) |
| Each item of a bulk operation | Rules, webhooks, jobs and other automatic effects |
| A separate later redemption of that reward | Anything in a test environment |
When you are charged
Small charges add up and are collected once your unbilled balance reaches $5, so card fees do not eat tiny invoices. A smaller balance is collected anyway when it is 90 days old, or when you cancel billing. Collected usage appears on your next monthly Stripe invoice.
Example: 15,000 actions in March is 5,000 past the free 10,000, $1.25. It stays as an unbilled balance until later months bring the total to $5 (or 90 days pass).
Billing in the dashboard
Settings → Billing shows this month's actions against the free 10,000, the estimated bill, your unbilled balance and your payment status. Owners and admins add a payment method (Stripe Checkout) and manage it, see invoices or cancel (Stripe Customer Portal). Other members see the same page read-only. Card details are entered on Stripe's pages, never on Orishare's.
Billing is a person's job: AI connections and API keys cannot read or change it.
Hosted widget
Embed the hosted rewards widget in your product with one script tag, hand it a customer session from your backend or your identity provider, and theme, localise and troubleshoot it.
Environments and limits
